CKC has a sophisticated kidney transplant unit that provides complete donor and recipient pre-transplant assessment, fully equipped theaters, an immediate post operative isolation zone, and a late post operative isolation room.
Post-transplant follow-up is available in a multidisciplinary out-patient clinic.
Recipients are responsible for obtaining legal clearance from the Egyptian Medical association, as an essential prerequisite for any transplant surgery
Renal Transplantation Program
The CKC transplant program was initiated in 1992 and now includes over 300 transplants from live-donors.
